Very nice hotel, friendly staff. We travelled with bikes and the staff were able to find appropriate place to store them (and there were many other bikes, as we stayed before the fames bike ultra-marathon Polnoc-Poludnie (though I prefer to have a bike with me in the room, which wasn't allowed). Nice kitchenette, also larger common available for all at the end of the hall (missing sharp knives!). Close to the train station and to the shop (PoloMarket). Good price for value!
Hel peninsula helps you slow down and relax. There is a lot to discover. The town of Hel with fishermen musem and fokarium. Military fortresses hidden in the forests with the both military and ethnographic exhibitions. Boat trips to Gdynia and Gdansk. It is better to use car as little as possible, there is only one road with quite a lot traffic. Foot, bicycle, train and ships are better options. Some travellers may find place too cold, but that is Baltic sea.

Amazing beaches and forest.
Amazing beaches and forest. For walking, biking or running in the nature is great. But food is quite limited in options and quality. Not good fish to eat although it is by the seaside... Needs some bars also to have nice drinks.

Fresh, clean air, lovely long beaches, great food, not too crowdy. Perfect spot for relaxing holiday. You can also learn a lot about history (especially from II world war) and try water sports. Great food all over the place!

Gorgeous polish peninsula with great sandy beaches.
Gorgeous polish peninsula with great sandy beaches. Lovely for long beach walks and relaxation. Easily accessible via train or car. Lots of parking spaces.
Walking distances to beaches vary a lot but if you are staying in Hel directly expect a mere 30 min + walk to reach the really nice beach areas.
Amazing sunsets and also the sunrise was super beautiful to watch.
All in all the perfect holiday location if you don't want to reach any further than the European.

In my opinion, Hel is a very good place to relax for both a single person and the whole family, because the beaches are sandy, and the wharf is devoid of toxic cyanobacteria. The weather is conducive to long hours of sunbathing, as well as active leisure activities, such as cycling. Hel is perfectly located, because you can sail to Gdansk to see and buy something at the Saint Dominic's fair.

Hel is a piece of heaven.
Hel is a piece of heaven. Long and wide beaches with shallow waters, pine forests perfect for hiking, bike trips for whole family , museums. There is a bike path that goes through the pine forest along with the road, linking Hel with the other villages on the peninsula. Trains go pretty often and during season there is a ferry going to the mainland. Before the season starts is very quiet and peaceful, but during summer season it can get crowded.
I would recommend a 4 day trip to have time to visit the peninsula, sunbath, hike and cycle.

Very quiet place very clean and the staff was very good by answering all our questions in guiding us towards the attraction of the town
We had breakfast at the hotel every day it was very good delicious and we will definitely come back.
Great location not too far to the town centre in a couple of minutes to the beach side
Beautiful views of the fantastic forest. Beautiful walks through a fantastic forest, along beautiful endless clean beaches.......
The equipment of the room was excellent. Large spacious balcony with seating. The hotel was new and modern. We will definitely be back.
The owner and his son were so very helpful, also with helping us finding out about ferry times and train times from Gdynia. The rooms were lovely with an amazing shower. We had two pushbikes with us and it felt very secure to leave them at the property.
Nice. Cosy apartment. Enjoyed the stay with a family. Of course, the best option to stay in this apartment is for two, a couples, as the apartment is not big. But, nonetheless, we fully enjoyed our stay and our couple of days in Hel.
Apartment was cheap and clean. The kitchen and dinning space was great for dinner and breakfast. The owner was helpful and responsive. Location was great - its was easy to walk to all the main attractions including the beach.
Apartment was spacious and clean. Mrs Emilia provided all necessary info and was really helpful. Place was clean and quiet, modern style with all necessary equipment (including coffee capsules). Swimmingpool was great.
Cute, very clean and comfortable room. Lovely little walkway with ivy on the fencing. Entering hotel noticed it had a historical nautical theme which we loved. Would love to see it in the summer.
Great little aparthotel in a very good location. Nice room with separate seating/eating area. Very helpful receptionist who provided good local information. Everything seemed brand new.
The view from the balcony was nice, place was clean and fully furnished. Even had food left, that helped when it was cold and raining. Close the the grocery store
